Two residents from Spennymoor have been named this month’s Unsung Hero by local MP Dehenna Davison. Nominated for their work creating and running their project, ‘One Step at a Time’, a mental health community support service helping those who are disengaged or isolated from school or the community.
The Unsung Heroes scheme, established to highlight those going above and beyond throughout the pandemic, has been carried over by Dehenna Davison MP, to mark residents’ achievements across the community. Previous winners include Paul Brown for his work performing in street concerts, raising money for charity.
