“With the easing of lockdown, it is great to see such brilliant clubs like Spennymoor Boxing Academy re-open. You can see from the kids there that the club provides a welcoming atmosphere and it’s a great opportunity to socialise, take care of your mental wellbeing whilst also caring for your physical health.”

Cllr Luke Allan Holmes said,

“It was great to join our local MP, Dehenna Davison, this weekend at Spennymoor Boxing Academy.

“I am grateful to Robert and the team for having me and showing me around their brilliant facilities.

“Spennymoor Boxing Academy is well used by local people and is a fantastic way for young people to develop new skills. If you’re considering joining, go for it!”

Head coach Robert Ellis said:

“We were proud to show Dehenna our gym and the hard work all our volunteer coaches do with our club members. We do make a difference to young people lives and we thank Dehenna for taking the time to come and see us.”
